[Class 145 (ii)] In a rectangular composite unit for floors or roofs, mainly of wood, and comprising timber boards at top and bottom, side and end rails, and web members between the boards, inner and outer end rails 6, 5 are provided spaced at intervals by blocking' pieces 7. The units extend the width of a room or from eaves to ridge of a roof. The side rails 4 may be tapered and reinforced by metal rods and may have holes for bolting adjacent units together. The top and bottom boards and members 3 may be of plywood and the spaces between them filled with insulating material. Ceiling battens 10 may be provided.
