The present invention relates to technology for providing a user with differentiated communication services according to communicating parties. The differentiated communication service providing method which operates on a mobile terminal according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the following steps of: selecting at least one party in a stored contact list; and inserting QoS guarantee information into the communication packet sent to the selected party. Furthermore, QoS for the communication packet into which the QoS guarantee information is inserted is guaranteed by adding a step of inserting the QoS guarantee information into a response packet to the communication packet on the selected party's mobile terminal. As a result, a user is able to receive differentiated services depending on communicating parties. Therefore, the method is capable of improving user satisfaction about communications and allowing a network operator to manage and utilize a wireless network efficiently.
