A smart monitoring device for a power distribution line is disclosed. The smart monitoring device monitoring an outside temperature, a track temperature, a track current, a voltage, a slope, and a conducting state as the main condition information of a power distribution line and wirelessly transmitting the information to a remote management system is installed on the power distribution line. The power supply to the smart monitoring device is performed in a manner of inducing necessary power from the power distribution line. The smart monitoring devices installed on the power distribution line are connected to a wireless network in a mesh structure. Therefore, the smart monitoring device not only measures the voltage and current of an existing power distribution intelligent device, but also monitors overheating of the power distribution line, disconnection accidents due to deflection of the track and prevents shock accidents by showing conduction. The smart monitoring device facilitates the selection of an installation space, the installation, and the maintenance without a separate power cable and prevents monitoring degradation due to the transmission errors of the monitored information because the main condition information of the power distribution line is capable of being transmitted to the adjacent smart monitoring device even in the event of a communication failure with the remote management system. |
