The objective of the present invention is to provide a lawsuit data management system using a hierarchical structure and a method thereof capable of systematically and efficiently managing lawsuit data such as due dates and lawsuit procedures including submission, registration, and delivery of lawsuit documents and inquiry, copy, and review of lawsuit records, by connecting terminals of internal users such as judges and court officers as well as external users such as lawyers and lawsuit-related law consumers in a network. The present invention includes a data processing unit which manages lawsuit data input through user terminal connected in a network, schematizes the requested lawsuit data, and sends the details of the schematized data to the user terminals for real-time monitoring; a lawsuit data management unit which maintains the lawsuit data sent from the data processing unit in a hierarchical structure; and a data storage unit which stores, updates, or deletes lawsuit data according to the processing result by the data processing unit.
