An apparatus for treating rainwater according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a pollutant purification filter including crushed wood, a wood filter part having microorganisms to be churned with the crushed wood and fermented, and a shell filter part mixed with the wood filter part or placed nearby and having a shell for providing the environment for multiplying the microorganisms; a main body part having the pollutant purification filter placed therein and discharging, through an outflow hole, rainwater introduced from an inflow hole after filtering the rainwater with the pollutant purification filter; and an opening and closing part placed in the main body part to be able to move and to open and close the inflow hole. The opening and closing part determines the opening or closing of the inflow hole depending on the level of rainwater stored in the main body part determined by the flow of the rainwater being introduced through the inflow hole.
