The present invention relates to a sharp (#) mail forwarding and validity check system in a certified electronic address base electronic document distribution system and a method thereof. The system in the present invention includes a sender client which requests the sending of a sharp mail by sending the message body, the attachment, and a corresponding hash value; a sending distribution message server which generates sending information upon a request from the sender client, requests the storage of the information to a sharp mail history management server, packs a document to be sent, and sends a distribution message; a forwarder client which attaches the received document and a receipt acknowledge and requests the sending; a forwarding distribution messaging server which, when the distribution message is received from the sending distribution messaging server, generates a receipt acknowledge, responds to a sender, forwards the acknowledge to the sender client, generates a distribution message upon a request from the forwarder client, and sends the distribution message to a receiver; a receiving distribution messaging server which forwards the message and the attachment of the received sharp mail to a receiver client; a receiver client which, when the message and the attachment are received, sends a receipt acknowledge to the sharp mail history management server and requests forwarding validity check; and a sharp mail history management server which, when a request for forwarding validity check is received from a receiver, compares the receipt acknowledge from the receiver with the stored sending information of a sender to check the forwarding validity.
