The present invention relates to polyester yarn having an electromagnetic wave shielding function and a preparation method thereof. The present invention reduces polymer residence time during melt-spinning by making polyester filament yarn into a resin or directly melt-spinning the polyester filament yarn to improve a method for manufacturing conventional polyester filament yarn, prevents rapid cooling after spinning by a spinneret by compulsively maintaining a temperature inside a pack and at the lower part of the spinneret, maintains physical properties by improving spinning, minimizes property deviation, minimizes property deviation according to aging, can apply to various electronic products by improving spinning.
