The dispenser has a guide path (6) guiding from top into a dispensing position, in which a hold position for a spare roll (20) is provided. A device is provided for unblocking a blocking unit (7) for the spare roll after a paper is used. A device for detecting a diameter of a dispensing roll exhibits a sensor element (11) that presses against a peripheral surface of the dispensing roll. The sensor element is displaced by the spare roll that falls down, and returns to a sensor position, once the spare roll has fallen down. Another blocking unit (8) co-acts with one of lever arms (12, 13). |
