The present invention concerns a method of eliminating the body emanations of an individual, especially sweat or other secretions or volatile emanations, in which a treatment head comprising a permeable and/or porous element is brought into contact with or in the vicinity of an area affected by these emanations, the skin or a garment worn by this individual, in which method an air stream is made to flow through and/or over the surface of this element, me treatment head being brought into contact with or in the vicinity of the skin of the armpits, skin folds, the hands or the feel, or being brought into contact with a garment facing the armpits or the skin folds or the feet.
