PURPOSE: A smart device, and a peripheral thereof, and a peripheral recognizing method thereof are provided for the peripheral to recognize the smart device by transmitting an authentication signal which includes a frequency pattern which is the intrinsic identification symbol of the peripheral when being connected to the smart device. CONSTITUTION: An earphone plug (21) is connected to an earphone port (11) of a smart device. If the earphone plug is connected to the earphone port, an authentication signal providing unit (22) transmits an authentication signal which is an intrinsic identification signal which is given to the peripheral to the smart device. The authentication signal is comprised in a form which arranges two or more serial unit signals having different frequencies on a time axis and includes a frequency pattern in which two or more frequencies are combined. A power supply unit (24) is supplied with a power from the smart device.
