The present invention relates to a reciprocating compressor. The present invention is provided to prevent a friction loss of a cylinder and a piston and the abrasion thereof by stably supporting the piston by forming gas holes through which compress gas is injected into a space between the cylinder and the piston throughout the entire region of the piston. Additionally, the present invention is provided to utilize a compressive coil spring as a resonance spring which vibrates the piston by stably supporting the weight of the piston with a fluid bearing; to facilitate the assembly of the cylinder and the piston by adjusting the concentricity thereof; and to improve the reliability of the compressor as the longitudinal deformation of the resonance spring is large.
