An IPS mode LCD is provided to improve viewing angle crosstalk by changing the inclination angle of data lines and an outmost common electrode. An IPS(In Plane Switching) mode LCD includes plural gate lines(216), plural data lines(217), a switching device(T), at least one pair of common electrodes(208,208') and pixel electrodes(218), and a second substrate. The gate lines are arranged in a line on a first substrate. The data lines are slantly arranged about 10 to 15 angle of degrees on the basis of an arbitrary vertical direction for the gate lines to define plural pixel areas with the gate lines. The switching device is formed in the crossing area of the gate lines and the data lines. The at least one pair of common electrodes and pixel electrodes generates a horizontal electric field within the pixel area. The second substrate adheres to the first substrate to be opposite to the first substrate. |
