The invention relates to a covering device comprising a cover arrangement (3) that is moveably mounted for the purpose of shifting between a spread position in which it extends relative to a zone to be covered, and a storage position, said cover arrangement (3) comprising two sections (31, 32) of a web laid one over the other, and the device allowing the relative translation of the sections (31, 32) in a cover arrangement (3) spreading direction in order to adjust the transparency of said cover arrangement (3). A first edge (311) of the first section (31) is secured to a first winding device (4), and a first edge (321) of the second section (32) is secured, on the same side as the first edge (311) of the first section (31), to a suspension device (5, 22') that is independent of said first winding device (4).
