PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laid material having a sharp level-difference shape, using a fiber structure having fibers oriented in the thickness direction.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a laid material 10, in which compression molding in a thickness direction D3 is applied to a fiber structure 40 having fibers 44 oriented in the thickness direction D3 to form irregularities, includes forming slits (49) recessed from irregularity formation scheduled faces 48 in the fiber structure 40 at positions L1 to be boundaries between each protruded part 52 and each recessed part 54 of the laid material 10, and applying compression molding in the thickness direction D3 to the fiber structure 40 in which the slits (49) are formed, to manufacture the laid material 10 having level differences 56 formed between each protruded part 52 and each recessed part 54. |
