PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of building a stereo camera system at low cost while suppressing deterioration in the image quality of a captured image.SOLUTION: A parallax detection device comprises: an image acquisition unit that acquires a first image signal and a second image signal as an image signal having a smaller number of pixels than that of the first image signal; a luminance signal extraction unit that extracts a luminance signal from the first image signal; a parallax detection unit that detects parallax between the second image signal and the luminance signal; and an image output unit that outputs the first image signal. |
