PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing minute bright spot defects resulting from various floating matters in liquid crystal stagnated in a panel periphery, etc., by a flow of the liquid crystal inside panel surfaces and obtaining high image quality and stability.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises: a first substrate 5; a second substrate 5' arranged to be opposite to the first substrate; a liquid crystal material 1 arranged between the first substrate 5 and the second substrate 5'; a first alignment layer 4 arranged on the first substrate 5; and a second alignment layer 4' arranged on the second substrate 5', where the first and second alignment layers consist of high molecular compounds. The liquid crystal display device further comprises a sealant 3 for bonding the first substrate and the second substrate, and a wave absorbing structure 2 for preventing a liquid crystal flow provided between the sealant 3 and a display area. |
