PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device configured to nip a base material with a pair of rollers to transfer a transfer pattern formed on the roller to the base material, while stabilizing nipping load for efficient transfer.SOLUTION: A transfer device includes: a first roller 3 having a transfer pattern formed thereon; a second roller 5; a roller distance adjustment unit 2 which adjusts a distance between the rollers 3, 5; a memory 29 which stores a variation pattern of the distance between the rollers 3, 5 in transferring the pattern to a base material 11 with the rollers 3, 5 rotated at a low-speed, while adjusting the distance between the rollers 3, 5 by the roller distance adjustment unit 2 so that the base material 11 is nipped with substantially constant force by the rollers 3, 5; and a control unit 27 which transmits an instruction value in which the phase of the variation pattern stored in the memory 29 is advanced to the roller distance adjustment unit 2 so that the base material 11 is nipped with substantially constant force by the rollers 3, 5 in transferring the base material 11 with the rollers 3, 5 rotated at a high-speed. |
