摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a ledeburitic tool steel by means of powder metallurgy (PM) process, to which a powder metallurgy material imparts isotropically mechanical properties, improved wear resistance and high hardness potential.SOLUTION: An HIP material or an HIP block is produced by spraying a liquid metal using nitrogen so that a ledeburitic tool steel alloy is made into alloy powder by PM process, and applying hot isostatic pressing (HIP). The HIP block or a semi-finished product manufactured from the HIP block is fully annealed at 1,100°C or higher and by at least 10°C lower than melting temperature of the lowest melting structural phase for 12 hours or more, and the size of average carbide phase of the material is increased by at least 65% only. The surface shape is rounded and the matrix is homogenized, and the material is subjected to reprocessing into a heat-treated tool with high wear resistance or a part subjected to wearing.
