<p>The invention relates to a coating material comprising: a non-woven fabric consisting of polymer fibres adhered to each other by a first binder; and a covering consisting of a second binder applied to a face of the fabric, the first and second binders being functionally equivalent. The material of the invention provides adequate surface protection since it is water impermeable, vapour permeable, self-washable and resistant to light traffic. The invention also relates to a method for producing the coating material, comprising an initial step of producing a non-woven fabric consisting of polymer fibres, followed by the application of a binder to the non-woven fabric in order to adhere the fibres, and a final step of applying a layer of a second binder to a face of the fabric.</p> |
