PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of suppressing thermal decomposition of the ammonia in a structure heating an oxidation catalyst by chemical heat storage using ammonia.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device 1 comprises an oxidation catalyst 4 provided to an exhaust pipe 3 and a heat storage device 8 heating the oxidation catalyst 4 using chemical heat storage. A base material 13 carrying a catalyst S is disposed in the oxidation catalyst 4. The oxidation catalyst 4 comprises a region 14 without the catalyst and a catalyst-coated region 15 positioned at a rear side (downstream side) of the region 14 without the catalyst. In the catalyst-coated region 15, the catalyst S is applied on the base material 13. A storage reservoir 9 storing ammonia (NH) is connected to the heat storage device 8 via an NHsupply pipe 10. Furthermore, a heat storage material 18 such as MgClchemically reacting with NHis filled in the heat storage device 8. The heat storage device 8 is disposed around the region 14 without the catalyst of the oxidation catalyst 4. |
