PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aroma generation device controller capable of connecting aroma generation timing with an image.SOLUTION: The aroma generation device controller comprises: a subtitle text extraction unit 100 which extracts a subtitle text included in image content; a determination unit 200 which determines whether the subtitle text extracted by the subtitle text extraction unit 100 includes a predetermined character string or not; a parameter extraction unit 300 which, when the determination unit 200 determines that the predetermined character string is included, extracts a parameter from the predetermined character string; and a control unit 400 which controls an aroma generation device 600 in accordance with the parameter extracted by the parameter extraction unit 300.
