PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server suitable for enabling a user to receive service such as a discount or privilege via a network.SOLUTION: A server comprises: storage means for storing IC card identification information unique to an IC card, portable terminal identification information unique to a portable terminal, and service information provided on using the IC card, in association with one another as user information; update means for updating the corresponding user information on receiving information for updating the service information from a reader/writer having read the IC card identification information of the IC card; authentication means for performing authentication with the portable terminal identification information when the portable terminal accesses the server; and service information transmission means for transmitting the service information associated with the portable terminal identification information of the portable terminal to the portable terminal when the authentication means has authenticated the portable terminal. |
