A method for producing a headlamp lens (100, 300, 600) for a vehicle headlamp, particularly for a motor vehicle headlamp, having at least one light entry surface (301, 601A) and at least one optically effective light exit surface (102, 104, 302, 602A), characterised in that glass, (particularly in gob and/or liquid form) is blank-pressed between a first mould and at least one second mould to form a one-piece member (1120, 3120, 6120A, 6120A') which comprises a first partial light conducting part (1121, 3121, 6121A, 6121A') and a light tunnel (108, 308, 608A, 608A'), which transitions into the first partial light conducting part (108, 308, 608A, 608A') by means of a bend (107, 207, 407). According to the invention, the glass is in particular drawn into the second mould by means of an underpressure and wherein the first partial light conducting part (1121, 3121, 6121A, 6121A') is at least partially overmoulded with transparent plastic to form a second partial light conducting part (1122, 3122, 6122, 6122') in such a way that the first partial light conducting part (1121, 3121, 6121A, 6121A') and the second partial light conducting part form and/or shape a light conducting part (1122, 3122, 6122, 6122') for imaging the bend (107, 207, 407) as a light-shadow line (550, 3005). |
