Improved Underwater LED Flashlight

The disclosed underwater LED flashlight is a compact, high power light source for scuba diving and underwater use, as well as on land. It utilizes a switching electronic circuit to provide a low voltage, regulated high current to drive the high brightness white LED(s). Through the use of an LED(s) with electrically parallel dice in the emitter(s), the flashlight is kept compact in physical size as well as battery requirements. The parallel dice emitter design provides for a lower operating voltage that can be more easily and safely supplied with less batteries, and the parallel dice arrangement is more reliable and robust than other multiple dice arrangements in LED emitters. An example of a Buck type electronic circuit is described as one of the types of circuits suitable.
