PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vinyl chloride sheet having a function of displaying pH with which the contamination of an ambient environment caused by the leakage, scattering, etc. of an acidic substance and an alkaline substance can be prevented, and the presence of the leakage, scattering, etc. of the acidic substance and the alkaline substance can be easily recognized.SOLUTION: A slender piece of vinyl chloride is dissolved in tetrahydrofuran (THF) to prepare a first solution. A pH indicator is dissolved in ethyl alcohol to prepare a second solution. Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) is added to the first solution and then the second solution is added thereto to prepare a mixed solution by stirring them. There is formed a pH indicator layer 10b to be integrated with a vinyl chloride layer 10a by applying the mixed solution to the surface of a vinyl chloride sheet and drying it.
