PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a display device in which breakage is suppressed.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a display device has a step of bonding a second substrate opposite to a first substrate on which partition walls 6 partitioning a space into a plurality of unit spaces are formed, to the first substrate in a state that insides of cells C are filled with a fluid dispersion 3 in the first substrate and sealing the fluid dispersion 3 inside the cells C. When a mean value of a linear thermal expansion coefficient of the first substrate and a linear thermal expansion coefficient of the second substrate is represented by (a), a linear thermal expansion coefficient of each of the partition walls 6 is represented by (b), a volumetric thermal expansion coefficient of the fluid dispersion 3 is represented by (c), and (a), (b) and (c) satisfy a relational expression of 2a+b>c, a display medium is filled at a lower limit temperature of a predetermined storage temperature range for the display device such that a fluid level 3a of the fluid dispersion 3 is at the same height position as that of a top portion 6x of each of the partition walls 6. When (a), (b) and (c) satisfy a relational expression of 2a+b<c, the display medium is filled at an upper limit temperature of the storage temperature range such that the fluid level 3a of the fluid dispersion 3 is at the same height position as that of the top portion 6x of each of the partition walls 6. |
