PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus capable of properly interposing a lubricant in a sliding contact section between a carriage bearing and a carriage guide shaft.SOLUTION: A recording apparatus includes: a recording head for recording a medium; a carriage 4 for supporting the recording head; a carriage guide shaft 2 for guiding the carriage 4 in a first direction; a moving means 3 for moving the carriage 4 in the first direction; and a cylindrical member 6 for turning when the carriage 4 moves as a means for guiding the lubricant to a sliding contact section C from around the sliding contact section C between the carriage 4 and the carriage guide shaft 2. The cylindrical member 6 turns whenever the carriage 4 moves, in which the cylindrical member 6 allows the lubricant on a lower surface side of a carriage guide shaft 2 to adhere to the lubricant, and the lubricant to move to an upper surface side of the carriage guide shaft 2 so as to positively supply the adhering lubricant to the sliding contact section C. |
