PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which can enhance convenience for a user in switching operation modes.SOLUTION: A portable terminal 100 comprises: a main body 2; a terrestrial magnetism sensor 26 capable of detecting magnetism; a plurality of cases 1 which comprise permanent magnets 11 that can be detected by the sensor 26 and can be attached to the main body 2; and a control unit 27 which, as the terrestrial magnetism sensor 26 detects the case 1 comprising the permanent magnet 11, identifies the case 1 and performs control for switching a current operation mode to an operation mode corresponding to the identified case 1. |
