PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a fuel injection device which can control a small injection amount.SOLUTION: A fuel injection device used in an internal combustion engine comprises: a valve body 114 which can open and close a fuel passage; a movable member 102 for operating a changeover valve by transmitting a force between the valve body 114 and itself; an electromagnet constituted of a coil 105 arranged as a drive means of the movable member 102 and a magnetic core 107, and a cylindrical nozzle holder 101 arranged at the external peripheral side of the magnetic core 107 and the movable member 102. The fuel injection device also has a function for valve-opening the valve body 114 by making a magnetic attraction force act between the magnetic core 107 and the movable member 102 by supplying a current to the coil 105. A valve closing operation is started at an intermediate position between a valve closing position of the valve body 114 and the maximum lift position, and a fluid force acting in a valve closing direction with respect to the valve body 114 is increased up to a lift position in which the valve closing operation is started.
