MICROWAVE HEATING DEVICE

In order to uniformly radiate microwaves from a waveguide to the entire radiation region inside a heating chamber and to uniformly heat an object to be heated without the use of a drive mechanism, this microwave heating device is provided with openings (105, 106) that radiate microwaves from a waveguide (104) into a heating chamber (102). The heating chamber (102) has a radiation region that is substantially twice as long as the guide wavelength in the transmission direction of the waveguide (104). The openings (105, 106) are arranged so as to be separated by substantially the guide wavelength in the transmission direction of the waveguide (104), and are arranged symmetrically with respect to a center line in the radiation region, the center line being orthogonal to the transmission direction.
