The wheel (10) has a module retainer (12) for retaining an airbag module, and an alignment element (13) i.e. plug, arranged in the retainer for connection with the airbag module. The alignment element comprises a balancing region that is partially removed or removable by a cutting removal method such that a circulating gap (30) is formed between an outer edge of the airbag module and the wheel. The gap is symmetrical related to a symmetry axis of the wheel, when the airbag module is inserted into the retainer. The retainer is surrounded by a design ring (40) i.e. chrome component. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an airbag module (2) a steering wheel assembly (3) a method for manufacturing a component for a motor car.
