PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver and an application information transmission device which can realize various modes of correlating bound applications to services.SOLUTION: In a receiver, an application information acquisition unit acquires application information including service range information indicating a range of services when an application is a bound application having a designated range of services correlated thereto. Also, when a service is selected by a channel selection unit, a startup control unit refers to the service range information included in the application information relating to the bound application currently in operation and, if the selected service is found to be within the range indicated by the service range information as a result of channel selection, maintains the operating state of the bound application or, if the selected service is found to be out of the range indicated by the service range information as a result of channel selection, terminates the bound application. |
