PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage element capable of improving charge/discharge characteristics of the power storage element and to provide a process of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The power storage element includes an electrode body 400 having: a winding core 410 and an electrode part 420 having a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separator which are wound around a winding core so that an outer periphery shape in a cross section perpendicular to a wound axis becomes flat, in which the electrode body is formed with an air gap A1 between the electrode part and the winding core in a longer direction of the cross section. |
