PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical path switch method and apparatus capable of improving reliability of the entire optical path network by switching a transmission path even if phase properties are deteriorated.SOLUTION: An optical path switch apparatus (3) in the optical path network using an in-use transmission path (1) and a spare transmission path (2) comprises photoelectric converters (101, 111) for converting, to electric signals, optical signals inputted from the in-use transmission path and the spare transmission path respectively, phase property detection units (103-105, 113-115) for detecting phase properties using predetermined signal components extracted from the electric signals, and an identification unit (120) for controlling switching between the in-use transmission path and the spare transmission path on the basis of the phase properties. |
