PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electro-optic device and a substrate for an electro-optic device capable of improving display quality.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of an electro-optic device comprises: a step of: preparing an element side mother board 501 having peripheral electrodes 41, 42 arranged between a pixel region E and a seal drawing area 14a, routing wiring 41a, 42a electrically coupled to the peripheral electrodes 41, 42, and peripheral electrode external terminals 41b, 42b electrically coupled to the routing wiring 41a, 42a; a step of preparing a counter side mother board; a first step of drawing a seal material in the seal drawing area 14a; a second step of dropping a liquid crystal into a plurality of seal drawing areas 14a; a third step of bonding the element side mother board 501 and the counter side mother board; and a fourth step of hardening the seal material. In at least part of the first step through the third step, voltage is applied to the peripheral electrode external terminals 41b, 42b. |
