PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing elution of selenium from steel slag containing sulfur and selenium.SOLUTION: A method for suppressing elution of selenium from steel slag includes a selenium elution suppression step in which steel slag containing sulfur and selenium is brought into contact with oxidizing gas in the presence of water, and the mass ratio Rs of thiosulphate ion state sulfur eluting from the steel slag to the whole sulfur is controlled so as to satisfy following formula: Rs=(S/S)×100≥51.5 (mass%) [in the formula, Sis an elution amount (mg/L) of thiosulphate ion (SO) state sulfur from the steel slag, and Sis an elution amount (mg/L) of the total sulfur (T-S) from the steel slag]. |
