PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate calculation of a PM deposited amount estimation value just after starting an engine.SOLUTION: An electronic control device detects front-and-back differential pressure &Dgr;P of a filter and an exhaust flow F flowing into the filter, calculates a divided value &Dgr;P/F obtained by dividing the front-and-back differential pressure &Dgr;P by the exhaust flow F, performs averaging processing on the divided value &Dgr;P/F, calculates a PM deposited amount estimation value Dp on basis of the averaging value A, and stores and updates the PM deposited amount estimation value Dp. An ash deposited amount estimation value Da is calculated on the basis of both of consumption amount of engine lubricating oil and a traveling distance of a vehicle, and the ash deposited amount estimation value Da is stored and updated. A divided value &Dgr;P/F corresponding to each of the PM deposited amount estimation value Dp and the ash deposited amount estimation value Da which are stored in a memory is derived by referring to a map on the basis of both the stored deposited amount estimation values Dp and Da until establishing a prescribed condition when starting an engine. The PM deposited amount estimation value Dp is calculated on the basis of the averaging value A of the derived divided value &Dgr;P/F. |
