摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve working efficiency in assembling into a vehicle and to prevent damage on a component during assembling.SOLUTION: A bearing device for a wheel includes a bearing 20 for a wheel, the bearing 20 comprising: an outer ring 5 which has double-row outer raceway surfaces 13, 14 formed on the inner periphery thereof; a hub ring 1 and an inner ring 2 which have double-row inner raceway surfaces 7, 8 formed on the outer peripheries thereof, facing the outer raceway surfaces 13, 14; and double-row rolling elements 3, 4 which are interposed between the outer raceway surfaces 13, 14 of the outer ring 5 and the inner raceway surfaces 7, 8 of the hub ring 1 and of the inner ring 2. A stem section 30 of an outer joint member 24 is fitted to the inner diameter of the hub ring 1 to join a constant velocity universal joint 6 in a separable manner to the bearing 20 for a wheel by means of a screw fastening structure N. A plurality of ridges 37 which are formed on the stem section 30 of the outer joint member 24 and extend in an axial direction are press-fitted in the hub ring 1 in which a plurality of grooves 39 having a fastening allowance with respect to the ridges 37 are formed. Thereby, the shape of the ridges 37 is transferred to the hub ring 1, which constitutes a groove-ridge fitting structure M where the ridges 37 and the grooves are in close contact with each other in the entire fit and contact region X. A module in the groove-ridge fitting structure M is specified to a range from 0.3 to 0.75.
