PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decontamination method and apparatus capable of reducing the amount of waste disposal water in a compact system.SOLUTION: A decontamination method comprises a plasma oxidation step S2 of generating secondary disposal water in which chrome attached to an object to be decontaminated is oxidized and eluted by a plasma treatment in primary disposal water in which the object to be decontaminated has been immersed.
