PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a proper value as a setting value to be set when manufacturing an object.SOLUTION: A setting device includes: a control unit 17 for reading, from a past actual result DB 2, a plurality of actual data including at least a variable of a setting object, a variable to be a determination material when the value of the variable of the setting object is manually set, and an actual value of a variable to be an index of a superior/inferior operation; a total achievement calculation unit 173 for calculating a total achievement of the actual data by using the variable to be the index of the superior/inferior operation of the read actual data; a data compression unit 175 for selecting the predetermined number of actual data from among the actual data according to the calculated total achievement; and a prediction unit 177 for using the variable of the setting object of the selected actual data as an object variable, and using the variable to be the determination material when the value of the variable of the setting object is manually set, as an explanatory variable, to prepare a prediction model for representing a relationship between the object variable and the explanatory variable to thereby calculate a value of the object variable by using the prediction model. |
