PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating cup attached to a metal made spray gun in which a cup is sealed with a lid without using a packing and leaking a coating material and which is opened and closed with a light-touch.SOLUTION: A coating cup attached to a spray gun comprises: a cylindrical cup 1 having a plurality of spiral projections 7 partially formed on the inner periphery in a place a little lower than an upper part opening surface of the cylindrical cup 1; and a lid 2 which closes the upper part opening surface by being inserted into the upper part opening surface of the cup 1, has recessed grooves 8 engaged with the projections 7 and partially formed in association with the number of the projections 7 and wholly moved down by turning in one direction. The lid 2 has an inserting part 6 having a small diameter in the lower part to be inserted into the cup 1. A taper of the insert part 6 is crimped to the upper inner surface of the cup 1 by engaging the projections 7 with the recessed grooves 8 with the rotation of the lid to move the lid down.
