PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost removal device of a contaminant, which is easier to handle than a conventional one, and a decontamination method for removing the contaminant from water flowing through a channel.SOLUTION: A removal device of a contaminant includes: a plurality of porous concrete blocks having aggregates whose surfaces are coated with zeolite; and a block fixing unit supporting the plurality of porous concrete blocks in a channel through which the contaminant flows. At least one of the dimension of the aggregates and the porosity which is a ratio of voids formed between the aggregates differs between the porous concrete blocks.
