PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching control apparatus for a two-phase switched reluctance motor and a method therefor which are capable of simplifying wiring to obtain an advantage in circuit design and reducing a cost to obtain a spatial advantage.SOLUTION: The switching control apparatus of a two-phase switched reluctance motor comprises: a rectifying unit 20 rectifying commercial power 10 to supply DC power; a capacitor 30 connected to the rectifying unit 20; an active converter 40 connected to the capacitor 30; and a microprocessor 60 sensing a position and a speed of a two-phase SRM 50, which is a two-phase switched reluctance motor, to control the active converter 40.
