PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door frame device and a door frame construction method which can be selectively constructed for both right and left hands of a sliding door, and improve workability and versatility.SOLUTION: A door frame device 1 includes: a three-sided frame-like opening frame body 10 which has a pair of opening vertical frame members 14 and 14 whose depth dimensions are substantially the same as the depth dimension of an opening upper frame member 11 provided with an upper rail part, respectively, and is arranged in an opening of a building; a three-sided frame-like entrance frame body 15 which has an entrance upper frame member 16 which is substantially half of the opening upper frame member in length dimension, is connected selectively to a substantially half part on one side of the opening upper frame member in longer direction or a substantially half part on the other side thereof, in depth direction, and forms an upper frame 21 with the opening upper frame member, and a pair of entrance vertical frame members 17 and 17 which form a door end side vertical frame 22 with the opening vertical frame members, and of which either one is a mullion 24; and a plate body 20 which is fixed to the entrance vertical frame member which is the mullion of the entrance frame body and the opening vertical frame member which is a door tail-side vertical frame 23 of the opening frame body, and is arranged to cover one side of the opening frame body in which the other side is defined as an entrance door by the entrance frame body. |
