PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that properly fixes an image without reducing cpm (copies per minute) in a next print job after the last sheet of a plurality of sheets output in a single print request passes a nip part.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 comprises: a fixing device 10 comprising a fixing roller 14, a pressure roller 15, and a heat generator 2 for heating the fixing roller 14; and an electric storage device. After the last sheet of a plurality of sheets output in a single print request passes a nip part, if temperature of the pressure roller 15 is below threshold temperature, the image forming apparatus 100 starts charging of the electric storage device, and rotates the fixing roller 14 and the pressure roller 15 while heating the fixing roller 14 with power from an external power source. When predetermined time has passed after the last sheet passes the nip part, rotation of the fixing roller 14 is stopped. |
