The present invention relates to a system and a method for processing liquefied gas, the system therefor comprising: a liquefied gas supply line connected from a liquefied gas storage tank to a consumer; a heat exchanger, disposed on the liquefied gas supply line between the consumer and the liquefied gas storage tank, for heat exchange between a heat transfer medium and liquefied gas supplied from the liquefied gas storage tank; a medium heater for heating the heat transfer medium; a medium circulation line connected from the medium heater to the heat exchanger; a liquefied gas temperature sensor, disposed on the liquefied gas supply line, for measuring the temperature of the liquefied gas; and a controller for maintaining the measured temperature of the liquefied gas at or above the requested temperature of the consumer while reducing the flux of the heat transfer medium flowing into the medium heater. The system and method for processing liquefied gas according to the present invention allow improving the circulation efficiency of the heat transfer medium while simultaneously supplying appropriately heated liquefied gas to the consumer by reducing the circulating flux of the heat transfer medium while maintaining a sufficient temperature difference of the heat transfer medium between the front and rear ends of the the heat exchanger.
