The method involves taking an inventory target firing of a fire protection concept. An alarm and/or a decision making aid are generated by objects of a current asset investment of the building. The sectoral actual fire burdens of individual regions of the building are computed by considering the fire loads of taken inventory target and are compared with previously determined fire burdens, to indicate fire-preventive confinement in the are compared with previously determined fire burdens regions and fire-preventive facilities (BE1-BE5).
