PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a floor heater and a floor heater, which can perform operation for appropriate heating of a space to be heated while saving energy even if the floor heater is operated together with the other heater.SOLUTION: In a method for operating a floor heater, steps are executed as follows: a learning operation step acquiring a reference temperature profile and a reference environmental temperature; an estimated temperature profile deriving step deriving an estimated temperature profile, based on a difference between the reference environmental temperature, and an actual operation time environmental temperature, and the reference temperature profile; a temperature range setting step setting a determination temperature range for determining an appropriate heating state based on the estimated temperature profile; and an operational status determination step, while a floor heating means M is operated, determining that a heating state is appropriate if a detection temperature of a space temperature detection means 3 is within the determination temperature range, but determining that the heating state is excessive if the detection temperature exceeds the determination temperature range. Based on a determination result in the operational status determination step, a heating capacity control controlling heating capacity of a floor heating panel 1 is executed. |
