PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling semiconductor switches which, if a half on fault occurs, can detect it reliably and suppress heat generation of a load circuit.SOLUTION: Two MOSFETs (21a), (21b) are arranged in a parallel connection in a circuit connecting a load and a power supply. A half on fault detection circuit 14 is also disposed for detecting whether or not there is a half on fault occurring in each MOSFET, and if the half on fault detection circuit 14 detects that there is a half on fault occurring in either MOSFET, both MOSFETs are turned on. This can prevent heat generation of the MOSFET at the half on fault to avoid the problem of element burnout. |
