The method involves connecting an adapter device (8) of a test prosthesis (2) with an object (5) such that the object performs a movement sequence with the test prosthesis. The adapter device is connected with a controllable actuator device (1) i.e. hexapod, such that forces and/or movements are exerted on the adapter device by the actuator device in order to simulate behavior of a to-be-tested prosthesis. The movement sequence produced by the object is detected by a sensor device. The actuator device is operated depending on measurement values of the sensor device. The sensor device is designed as an optical image capture device. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out tests with a test prosthesis for an injured body extremity of an object.
